MUA Justine Camacho + The Nomad’s Quarterly

What does MUA mean? It’s the short industry acronym for Make Up Artist! 🙂 Fun factoid of the day if you didn’t know that already~

Some time ago I shot two beauty looks for Justine’s make-up portfolio featuring the lovely Diane Panzella, a.k.a. Elena from the Vampire Diaries‘ doppleganger.

I bet you clicked that just to see Elena’s pretty face again even though you knew how she looked like 😛 These beauties are so easy to photograph, half of my work is already done when they come to the table. 🙂 After taking a couple of shots in a small space of my bedroom my mini studio, we proceeded to an outdoor location. I needed a few shots of a quick photo story that my favorite Humanities teacher, Miss Cindy Velasquez, back in Uni asked me to create. I had to base the images on a Cebuano love poem entitled “Low Tide”. I honestly had a hard time understanding it totally, but my teacher was kind enough to give me an english translation of this beautiful poem. I’m not gonna post the English translation though, so that the original thoughts of the author can shine through.

Hunas

Moabot ang lab-as nga bahanding magkisikisi
Diha sa mga barotong gihatod sa naghaguros
Nga taob. Nagdagan, nagdasig paggakos
Sa parat ug tam-is nga baybayon.

😮 I know right. Major NOSEBLEED! Take this opportunity to test your Cebuano 😉
Are you a true “bisayang dako”? XD
